Hello,

We had a good productive week in the classroom this week. We have started new units in Math (fractions), Social Studies (Revolutionary War), and our new Oral Read Aloud book is Where the Red Fern Grows.  We had a little quiz today in Math and the kids did a great job with the fractions.  The only issues were the couple of students who have not done their homework the last two nights.  Everyone else did awesome.  I am very proud of their hard work....

Reading

Parents,

It is very important that the students read for 20 minutes each evening.  I do not give a lot of homework, but the 20 minutes of reading is assumed homework Monday thru Friday.  The best way to improve reading is to practice.  The content is not as important as making sure the reader is reading material on their appropriate level.  Thank you for your help in this very important area.
